--- TOP 3% GLOBALLY RANKED PODCAST --- Do you wish you could better manage the spiraling emotions that make you feel out of control every month? Are you looking for ways to keep tabs on your cycle so you’re not caught off guard by negative, intrusive thoughts every single premenstrual phase? Do you need a wellness strategy you can actually stick to that isn’t overwhelming? If this sounds familiar, I’m so glad you’re here. Welcome to PMS Made Peaceful, the podcast for Christian women wanting more emotional regulation during their premenstrual phase. This podcast will teach you how to better manage the emotional rollercoaster each month through holistic wellness strategies, building habits that work for you and keeping you rooted in who God says you are (aka Beloved Daughter of the King!) Hey, I’m Lauren! I’m a registered nurse, wellness coach, mama and Christ-follower. For over a decade I struggled to manage the spiraling anxiety and debilitating lies that would pile on me in the week before my period. I felt lost and crazy, like I was failing my family, friends and God, with no ability to just “pull myself together”. I finally realized that if I didn’t want to be emotionally tossed around each cycle, I would need to partner with my body and the natural rhythms God had created me with. Through following simple habits I actually enjoyed doing, learning holistic wellness strategies that matched where I was in my cycle and knowing who I needed to spend time with every day (you guessed it.. the Lord!), my premenstrual phases began to feel more manageable and less out of control. And I want the same for you. If you’re ready to feel more emotionally regulated throughout your whole cycle, to work with the rhythms God has created you with, and to stick to healthy habits that will keep you grounded, present and feeling good, then this podcast is for you! So, if you’re ready to get started, take a deep breath, grab your coffee, and let’s jump in!

In today's Thursday episode, I share about Isaiah 43:1-3, and how it can be hard to grasp the idea of walking through hard seasons. Yet even in the middle of HARD & TRIAL, God is faithful and doesn't leave us to walk alone.
I hope this episode provides a deep reassurance that despite the anxiety, the overwhelm & the despair feeling so real, like it's going to swallow you up, God remains with you through the wind and the waves, through the fire of premenstrual anxiety.

We all have our habits that we automatically turn to when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, but what if they were just exacerbating the anxiety?
In this episode, I talk about 2 habits you might be doing when you’re in the thick of premenstrual anxiety that may very well be making the intrusive thoughts, anxiety and spiraling worse.
Stay tuned for next week as well, where I share 2 things to START doing instead! If we don’t replace our bad habits with GOOD & BETTER habits, we’ll most likely just fall back into the same patterns.

In this episode, I share my own personal experiences with reflexology, what my clients have experienced, and what research says about it when it comes to getting it done specifically for premenstrual symptoms and disturbances.
I encourage you to listen in, & who knows?! Maybe after this episode you’ll look into booking a session!

It can often feel like the anxiety and overwhelm are so all-consuming, like there is no way around or through it. It can start to feel like we’re grasping at anything for a solution, for anything that will fix the or take away the anxiety.
Psalm 131 invites us to humbly come before God and trust that he will meet us there- even in the throes of anxiety and feeling paralyzed by overwhelm.
I encourage you to take advantage of just being with this episode. Find a quiet, comfortable place and just listen. Allow your body and mind to rest.

Does the thought of a New Year immediately make you dread the idea of coming up with new year’s resolutions? I get it. What if this year we committed to learning how we can start BEING every single day, week, month, year, instead of being consumed by all the DOING? What if God was inviting us into a season of less shame, condemnation and striving, and more grace, gentleness and freedom (spoiler! He is always inviting us into this!)
In this episode, I encourage you to put your year’s “to-do” list down, and start just listening to what God is inviting you into!
Let’s dive into it!

Welcome to Contemplative Thursday's!
Every other Thursday, I'll be doing more of a contemplative, "being" episode, as opposed to "doing". This is when you are invited to sit, rest, listen and allow God to speak to you through prayer, reading Scripture passages, journaling, breathwork... all the things that encourage stillness and being present with yourself, your mind and body and with God.
Today we're looking at Philippians 4:6+7, seeing what it tells us about anxiety, gratitude and peace.
So find a comfy, quiet spot in your house to sit or lay down, grab a notebook, pen & Bible, and let's practice stillness with God!

Is this episode, I'm sharing 3 reasons why we need to be talking about premenstrual anxiety, PMDD and premenstrual disturbances. As I discuss these reasons, you'll quickly see that premenstrual anxiety isn't just a mental health or menstrual health issue- it's also a spiritual issue.
